The Whitespace MAAX High Desert is a versatile all-mountain snowboard built for riders who want to explore the entire mountain. From quick on-piste turns to playful park laps and fresh powder off-piste: the MAAX lets you do it all. This board blends control, stability and a playful character so you can try something new on every run.
The MAAX features a Directional Hybrid Camber profile. This combines the stability and edge hold of camber with the float of rocker. The result is a dependable feel at speed while remaining easy to steer. The directional shape includes a distinctive Spoon Nose, where the front lifts slightly at the edges. That adds extra float in powder and smooths turn initiation.
What makes the MAAX special is its Dual Radius Sidecut. By combining two different turn radii you can switch effortlessly between short, quick turns and long carves. The board feels agile yet keeps stability when you pick up speed.
The core is built from a mix of poplar and balsa wood. This keeps the snowboard light while delivering a lively, responsive feel. A Dura-LT Carbon fiberglass layer on top and a Carbon X45 layup underneath give the board added strength, pop and stability. That makes the MAAX react instantly to your movements and easy to accelerate.
Speed is also taken into account. The Sintered Base absorbs wax well, is wear-resistant and helps you maintain excellent glide across varying snow conditions. ABS sidewalls reduce vibrations and protect the board from impacts.
Whitespace also uses plant-based bio-resin and water-based inks to reduce the production impact.
The Whitespace MAAX is ideal for intermediate to advanced riders looking for one board that works in almost every condition. It provides a great mix of precision, playfulness and freeride capability so you can enjoy both on- and off-piste riding.
